1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using the MarAutoExport platform you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
2. Account eligibility & tiers
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering contracts.
- All information supplied during registration must be accurate and current.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
- One person may hold only one bidding account.
- Creating an account does not unlock bidding. A deposit is required to become a Verified Bidder.
3. Ranked proxy bidding
All bidding on MarAutoExport is proxy-based and runs in daily cycles.
- You may have up to five open bids at once.
- Each bid is ranked by precedence, where 1st is the highest priority.
- Each bid carries a maximum offer amount set by you. You will never be charged more than this ceiling for the car.
- Bids are editable and cancellable at any time before the daily admin lock.
- After the lock, bids are final for that round.
- Only one car is won per round. If your highest-precedence bid wins, any other open bids in the same round are withdrawn.
- All bid slots are cleared the next day (win or lose), so you set a fresh batch of up to five ranked bids each cycle.
4. Agreement per bid
Every bid is placed through its own dialog box. You must explicitly agree to the forfeiture and service-charge rules on each individual bid. Agreement on one bid does not constitute agreement on another.
5. Fees, settlement & forfeiture
- One purchase slot = €550 (fixed, in Euro).
- Full payment is due within two weeks of a win. The amount is the winning bid plus service charges, minus any admin-applied discount.
- If you win a bid and fail to pay within two weeks, €550 is forfeited from your running balance as a cancellation charge. This is one slot's worth, not your entire balance.
- Withdrawal fee: €55 per request, waived entirely if the balance being withdrawn is under €550.
- Service charges are calculated and disclosed after the win.
- Admin discounts are applied case-by-case to individual purchases and are recorded with a note, an "approved" flag, and the admin's username.
- All transactions are in Euro, into our Ireland-based account. No cross-border transactions are made.
6. Balance rules
- A single running balance is maintained per customer.
- Deposits accumulate. Top up any amount, at any time, with no cap and no expiry.
- Balance is applied to the full payment at settlement time.
- Unused balance is withdrawable at any time, subject to the withdrawal fee above.
7. Vehicle condition
Vehicles are sold as inspected and as described by the Japanese auction house. Grades and condition reports are provided in good faith but do not constitute a warranty. Buyers are encouraged to review all photos and the auction sheet before bidding.
8. Order tracking
Once a purchase is fully paid for, the car enters a nine-step order tracking process:
- Bid placed for car
- Auction won
- Full payment made
- Car acquired
- Documents shipped
- Shipment booked
- Car loaded
- In transit
- Arrived at destination port
Each step triggers an email notification to the email address on your account.
9. Currency
All actual transactions are made in Euro, into our Ireland-based account. The site may display rough estimates in a customer-selected currency for convenience, but the actual charge is always the fixed Euro amount.
10. Notifications
All notifications — bid confirmations, round results, win notifications, payment reminders, forfeiture warnings, and each of the nine tracking steps — are sent by email to the address on your account.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MarAutoExport is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of the platform, including loss of profit or loss of opportunity.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or by a prominent notice on the platform. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
